A study on effect of Agriculture Assistance schemes on farmers
The study was conducted at Shihor in district Bhavnagar of Gujarat State during the year 2001-2002. Fifty beneficiaries were selected for conducting the study. The author reported that most of the government schemes were known to farmers either through Agriculture Development offcer or Gramsevak.They were very helpful to the farmers.The eighty percent of the beneficiaries farmers were having partial irrigation facility, cultivate cotton. Dairying and Dimond business were the other allied activities of the cotton growers
